The Georgia Institute of Technology has been ranked No. 9 in the world on U.S. News and World Report’s 2016 list of “Best Global Universities for Engineering.”
According to U.S. News, the institutions chosen have “shown strength in producing research related to a variety of engineering topics.” The strengths include aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and civil engineering.
China’s Tsinghua University topped the list at No. 1. The United States had four schools in the top ten, with MIT, Cal, and Stanford joining Georgia Tech.
